Joseph B. Noser Jr.

On July 21, 2019, his birthday, Joe was surrounded by his family, as he rested peacefully in Stein Hospice. At midnight, we celebrated his birthday with Happy Birthday wishes and we sang Happy Birthday, his last birthday on Earth. Hours later, he passed into heaven to spend the rest of his birthday with Jesus, in his new life. He truly loved Our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Joe was born July 21, 1935 in Mansfield, OH to the late Joseph B. and Ruth (Lorow) Noser Sr.

Joe married Diane (Faggionato) on June 21, 1969 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.

His faith, church and family were his top priorities in life. He truly lived life to the fullest and evangelized every day. Joe was a member of Holy Angels Parish, where he was involved in several ministries. He was a Eucharistic minister, spent several years on the R.C.I. A. Team, and his much loved bereavement committee. His many ministries were recognized when he was presented the President's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015 for his many hours of volunteering. He was also a Stein Hospice volunteer, and a member of the K of C, American Legion Post 83, VFW, AMVETS and the Orioles.

After high school, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Navy medical corp. He retired from E&L Transport in Lorain. He was a SPD Reserve officer from 1975-1986. He was also a pilot, logging many hours.

Being involved in his children and grandchildren's activities was always a top priority. He and Diane coached Girl Scout Softball for 19 years, and enjoyed many trips, especially to Florida and Biloxi, Mississippi.

Joe and Diane, "Buddy & Pa", were truly blessed with their children, Joe (Theresa) Hudnall, Brian (Pamela) Noser, Tammy (Jeff) Gilchrist and Kenny (Lindsay Berner) Noser; grandchildren, Nicholas (Katie) Gilchrist, Alyvia Gilchrist, Rebekah, Aiden, Ben and Dylan Noser, Danielle (Patrick) Penza, Jasmine (Jake) Hoffer and Kelsey Hudnall; great-grandchildren, Jorja and Fynn Hoffer; wonderful sisters, Marilyn Danas, Linda Downs, Becky Noser; brothers, Bill (Pat) Noser and Tom (Diane) Noser and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who were dear to him.

His life was full. He truly loved the Lord and knew how blessed he was, having survived 5 bypass surgeries, the first one being in 1981. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was so proud of them and they blessed him in so many ways. You gave him the strength to keep going. Now, my dearest Joe, our loving dad, and our special grandpa (Pa), you are at peace, no more pain. Our memories of you will last our lifetimes. You made our lives special, fun and happy. We will miss you! You checked all of the boxes on your bucket list and we are sure that the choirs of angels led you to paradise. You made a difference in our lives. Till we meet again, continue to watch over us.
