Bonnie Jean (Bauer) Schuessler, 79, residing in Sandusky, peacefully passed away Sunday evening, August 11, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy illness.
Bonnie was born on March 5, 1940 in Berea, OH to the late Leslie and MaryEllen (Shanafelt) Bauer.
Bonnie graduated from Milan High School in 1958. She sold Avon for 25 years and was a member of the Avon's President's Club; she also was a banquet waitress at Sawmill Creek for several years. Bonnie was a member of the Ladies Golf League at Thunderbird Hills, she was an avid golfer and achieved a hole in one. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, traveling to various casinos and bowling. Bonnie had a love for flowers, gardening and loved spending time with her family & friends, especially her grandkids.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Arnold Schuessler Jr. She is also survived by her children, Mike (Donna) Schuessler of Bowling Green, Tracy Sellers of Monroeville, and Julie (Keith) Coyle of Summerville, SC; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Gates; sister-in-law, Doris Bauer and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Danielle Timman; sisters, Christy Thomas and Barb Rhode; brother, David Bauer Sr. and brother-in-law, Richard Gates.
Friends may call on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
