Ralph J. Voltz Sr., age 65, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly, Monday afternoon, November 4, 2019, at his residence.

He was born July 8, 1954, in Sandusky, and graduated from Sandusky High School.

He attended The Chapel and the Wayside Temple. Ralph worked for Sandusky Plastics for over 30 years; up until they closed their doors, following, he went to work for Whirlpool and operated a tow motor for almost 10 years.

He also was a volunteer fire fighter serving on Perkins Township for 10 years and Groton Township for 20 years. Ralph loved building demolition derby cars with his son and grandsons and watching them race.

Every summer, Ralph was an amateur fireworks technician, setting off a huge display of fireworks. He loved to spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren, whom he adored and cherished very much.

He is survived by his wife Freda (Keen) Voltz; daughter Lindsey (Sean) Rohrbacher; son Ralph "RJ" (Amanda) Voltz, Jr.; five beloved grandchildren Wyatt, Gage, Jase, Emberlee, and soon to be Camryn; two sisters Susan Bunner and Kim Kusser; several brother and sister in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents John Voltz and Elizabeth (Ross) Burre.

Friends may call from 10 AM until time of services at 12 Noon, on Friday, November 8, 2019, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, OH 44824. Pastor Tony Robinson will officiate.
