Reita  (Rowe) Hoenigman

Reita (Rowe) Hoenigman, 81, Sandusky, died Monday, January 6, 2020, in Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born in Salyersville, KY on August 18, 1938, to the late Charlie and Mattie (Back) Rowe.

She was retired from New Departure Hyatt.

Reita being a Southern girl following her dream, lived life to the fullest. She stayed close to her co-workers from New Departure by volunteering at special events. Loved her partners in crime always having an adventure with Lisa Hauke, Theresa Hartlaub, and Cindy Plure, and her ever loving friend, Mary Jane Bickley. Meredith Holbrook and Orpha called her every night or she called them, she had so many loving family and friends. The loves of her life were her grandchildren, always enjoyed their sports and going on outings, especially with Lizz.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie (Ponch) Dyer Waddington, Sandusky; grandchildren, Donny Waddington and Lizz Waddington; great-grandson, Donte'; sisters, Ella V. Holbrook, Bellevue and Wanda Mullins, Florida; brothers, Hanson Rowe and and Harlen Rowe both of Kentucky; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, JC Rowe, Rollie Rowe, Charles D. Rowe, Martha Moore, and eight others at birth.

Friends may call on Friday, January 10, 2020, from 4-7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. in Wayside Temple, 3809 Maple Ave., Castalia. Rev. Rusty Yost will officiate. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
