Glenna M. Ralston

Glenna M. Ralston, 85, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at the Community of Parkview.

Glenna was born in Columbus, Ohio, the third of eight children to Oscar P. and Clorissa H. (Brooks) Schaile.

She loved her family and was a "true big sister" keeping a watchful eye over her younger brothers and sister.
It was during her time in the "secretarial pool" of the Jeffries Manufacturing Company that Glenna met Chuck. Rumor has it Chuck would find any reason possible to stop at her desk and chat and it wasn't long before he proposed.

Glenna retired as the office manager for John W. Drury, M.D. after twenty some years of service, a position for which she loved and was grateful.

Glenna leaves her loving daughter, Victoria Oldham, son, Phillip (Sharon) Ralston and "Little Susie' Carol Larrick, a sister who she raised as her own; six grandchildren, Cynthia (Ron) Ducca, Christa Oldham, Anthony Ralston, Nicole (Brad) Skinn , Lindsey (Kurt) Leber and Christopher Larrick; five great-grandchildren, Ethan Ducca, Reed and Josephine Ralston and Cora and Caden Leber; two brothers, Gale (Brenda) Schaile and Gary (Sandy) Schaile and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; sisters, Beverly (in infancy), Phyllis (Robert) Tennant and Beverly (Ed) Wuertz and brother, Kenneth Schaile; son-in-law William Oldham and grandson, Brian Willis.

A private family service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at the Community of Parkvue officiated by the Reverend Catherine Lawrence. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Parkview for treating Glenna as one of their own.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to further breast cancer research or one's favorite charity. T
