Jennings A. Hibbard

Jennings A. Hibbard, 85, of Berlin Heights passed away Sunday morning, April 5, 2020 at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Jennings was born January 12, 1935 in Manchester, Kentucky and had lived in this area most of his life.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Jennings was employed at the Oberlin Air Traffic Control Center as a technician for thirty-three years, retiring in 1994.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Huron, Berlin Heights American Legion, Erie County Conservation League, and his hobbies included farming, traveling, and golfing.

He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Mary Ann (Christiansen) Hibbard; three children, Mark Hibbard, Jane Hibbard, and Monte Hibbard, all of Berlin Heights; one grandson, Tyler Hibbard of Norwalk; three siblings, Paul Hibbard of Lakeland, FL, Shirley Ann Wise of Marietta, GA, and Elizabeth Dawn Hessler of Sandusky; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Mella (Brown) Hibbard; and seven siblings, William "Billy" Hibbard, Johnnie M. Hibbard, Gerald D. Hibbard, Helen Ruthcowski, Janna Gibson, Grace B. Franketti, and Ella Doris Ullmer.

At the request of the deceased cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jennings life will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
