Chianti Lorenzo Ghalson Sr.

Chianti Lorenzo Ghalson Sr. 52, Sandusky passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

He was born on July 8, 1967 in Sandusky, OH to Vera Keys Ghalson, Sandusky and James (Carrie) Adcock , Lorain, OH.

He attended Norwalk High School as a conscientious student and an accomplished runner on the track team. He graduated from Oberlin High School in 1986.

He was a kind, gentle man with a colorful personality. He enjoyed fishing, building model cars and spending time with family while hearing and telling stories. His great appreciation of music began when his uncle Tukey bought him his first guitar. He was an avid fan of Prince. His self taught playing of instruments was influenced by Prince so profoundly that it is easy to attach a memory of Chianti when a Prince song is played. In his passing we hear, When Doves Cry. Until the end of time we truly adore you.

He leaves behind his greatest accomplishments, four children, Morgan Janay Miller, Norwalk, Deven DeChianti McKay, Atlanta, GA, Chianti Lorenzo Ghalson Jr, Daytona Beach, FL, and Kaleb Gholson, Sandusky; his two grandsons, Izaiah and Lorenzo; parents; sisters, Wendy Adcock, Columbus, OH, Lisa Walker Nalls, Canton, OH, and Dorrelle Ghalson, Lorian, OH; brothers, Lamont Ghalson, Atlanta, GA, and Theodis Keys, Sandusky; grandmother, Hattie Brown Smith; aunt, Marshelle Smith; special aunt, Essie Brown; niece, Darqueshia, nephews, Darnelle, Dovontae, D'Mere and Lorenzo. The family would also like to thank his lifelong family friends, Carlos Berry, Tony Raymore and Alfonzia Harkness, along with many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather John Smith in 1991; aunt, Dorothy 'Doris' Smith in 1995; and his companion, Debra Goodykoontz in 2019.

Private visitation and services will be held. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky is handling arrangements.
