Junior Franklin Luberda

"Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of your Lord." (Matt.25:21)

On May 1, 2020, the Lord called Junior Franklin Luberda, age 89, of Monroeville, home to eternal rest.

Junior was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on September 2, 1931. On March 8, 1961, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Marilyn Louise Luberda. At the time of her death, they were married 51 years.

He was a humble, faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He lived his faith deeply and shared that same love with his loving wife and his family. As part of his faithful service, he purchased a school bus for his church in 1988 and was bus ministry driver at Castalia Church of God for many years.

Junior was employed by David Whyde Home Improvements Service for years until their closing. He then went into business for himself, owning and operating Luberda Siding. He retired after 20 years in business.
In his spare time at home, he was rarely seen without a guitar in his hands. He enjoyed playing music and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed his CB radio and went by the CB handle, Guitar Man, for over 50 years. Junior never knew a stranger and made friends everywhere he went.

He leaves to cherish his memories and good name, two loving sons, Terry Luberda and John Luberda; 9 grandchildren, Christina Luberda, Kelly Braden(Chad), Melissa Luberda, Terry Luberda Jr., Junior Luberda, Tasia Luberda, Jessi Luberda, David Luberda, and Crystal Luberda; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, William Hart of PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Luberda; parents, Anna Mae Hart and John Franklin Luberda; son, David Luberda; brothers, Playford and Richard Hart; sisters, Leatha Mae Hershman, Betty Jordan, Leatrice Layhue, Marjie Leslie, Alean Thorpe, Anna Mae Hart, and Judy Schenck-Groot.

Junior led a good life and had a peaceful death.

At Junior's request, there will be no visitation and cremation will take place at Toft Funeral Home and Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private family services will be held.

Should friends desire, in honor of such a wonderful man, memorial contributions may be sent to a local church or charity of your choice.
