Harriet Jayne (Bragg) David "Jayne"

Harriet Jayne (Bragg) David "Jayne", 72, residing in Monroeville, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness surrounded by her family at Firelands Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

She was born on December 29, 1947 in Rainelle, WV to the late Lawrence Clayton and Mary Catherine (Gladwell) Bragg.

Jayne graduated from Avon Lake High School in 1965 and attended Kent State University. She moved to East Texas in 1983 with her husband, who ran a large cattle ranch. While there, she worked as an accounting specialist for Champion Mobile Homes. Later she moved back home to Monroeville, OH and worked as an accounting specialist for The Glidden Corporation, from which she retired.

Jayne married the love of her life, Phillip, on December 31, 1982. She enjoyed playing golf and watching her beloved Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Most of all, she enjoyed the Summer and Christmas get togethers with her large family. She was known by many names, most notably Gam gam, Gramma Jayne, Mama Jayne and Jaynie bird by her golfing gals. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren's accomplishments, never missing their school or sporting events.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Phillip David; her blended family of children, Scott (Kelly) Lunato of Huron, Joey Butcher of Monroeville, Nicole Lunato of Sandusky, Nikki Berardi of Milan, Jeff (Jill) David of Monroeville and Justin (Gazelle) David of Monroeville; grandchildren, Dominique, Madison, Kassidy, Karli, Nicolas Butcher, Lexi, Nicolas Lunato, Zachary, Libbi, Ethan David, Maxwell, Jackson, Sydnie, Ethan Lunato, Joshua, Gabriella, Isabelle, Samantha and Clayton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jeffrey Butcher and her parents-in-law, Harold and Phyllis David.

The family would like to express special gratitude to the Nurses and Physicians of the Critical Care team at Firelands Regional Medical Center for their dedicated care and support of Jayne.

Visitation will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 2712 W. Mason Rd., Milan, OH 44846 on Monday, June 8, 2020 from 1:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 2:30 pm. Reverend Wendy Schindler-Chasney will officiate. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Please join the family in a celebration of Jayne's life at The Mason Jar, 4408 W. Mason Rd., Sandusky, OH 44870 at 4:00 pm.
