James C. Renz (Jim), passed away unexpectedly May 13, 2020, in Oregon, Ohio, after a lengthy illness.

Jim was born May 17, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio.

He was a 1972 graduate of Westerville South High School. Jim worked in dairies and settled in 1993 in Sandusky, OH, working at Toft's Dairy. Jim was a hands on guy and always helped anyone he could. Jim enjoyed painting, fishing, evening car rides, televised sports and was amazing at completing crosswords with a pen.

Jim met his wife, Kathy, in 1976 and they were married May 13, 1978. He was a devoted family man. His two children adored him and were his pride and joy. Jim was also always there for his parents and helped them in any way he could, from cutting their grass to watching their dog P.G., when they would go on vacations.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Rebecca Renz (Chris) and son, James Renz; grandson Christopher Jr.; brother Michael (Roz) Renz; sisters Kathy Rinehart and Carol Connors, uncle Phillip Edwards, "Skip" and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty (Andrus) Renz; birth mother Shirley Connors and many aunts and uncles.

Words cannot express how much Jim will be missed. He had a heart of gold and even in the worst of his pain he always worried about the wellbeing of others. He was a one of a kind man.

Jim through out the years expressed he did not want a funeral and was cremated in Castalia, OH, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service. Jim's family will be planning a memorial gathering at a later date.
