Annette M. Schafer

Annette M. Schafer, 54, of Monroeville passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.

She was born November 1, 1965 in Sandusky and was a 1984 graduate of Monroeville High School.

She earned her bachelor's degree in 1988 from Heidelberg University with a double major in Accounting and English.

Annette was employed at Brown, Crane and Associates in Norwalk for ten years. Prior to this, she worked at Roeder's Harley Davidson in Sandusky.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroeville and helped with many fundraisers for St. Joseph Catholic School. Annette was an active member of the Football Mom's Club for Monroeville High School. Her greatest pleasure was the time spent with her family, especially her two sons.

She is survived by her husband of twenty one years, Don Schafer; two sons, Benjamin J. and Zebediah J. Schafer, both of Monroeville; her mother, Helen Smith of Norwalk; four siblings, Tammy (Loren) Grant, Kevin (Missy) Smith both of Milan, Debbie (John) Anderson of Norwalk, Sean (Jennifer) Smith of Dublin, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her father, Leon Smith in 2012 and her brother, Steve Smith in 2015.

Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, June 11, 2020 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 12, 2020 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Father Ron Schock will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Annette's wishes were for everyone to wear something pink in her memory on Thursday and Friday.
