James "Jim" Louis Didion

James "Jim" Louis Didion, 79, residing in Sandusky, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, November 17, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.

Jim was born on March 26, 1941 in Norwalk, OH to the late Urban and Dorothy (Burke) Didion.

Jim graduated from Monroeville High School in 1959. He was a Veteran of the US Army. He was employed as a butcher at Routh Packing and a chef at several local restaurants. Jim was the chief steward for RWDSU, the union for Routh Packing. He was a skilled cook, avid gardener and collector of all things Christmas. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, camping and traveling with his wife.

Jim is survived by his wife, Susan (Deaver) Didion, whom he married on October 31, 1979. He is also survived by his daughter, Angela Black of IL; son, James L. (Denise Angel) Didion Jr. of IL; grandchildren, Jacob and Caleb; sister, Barbie (John "Ozzie") Ebert of Sandusky and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Private family services will be held. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
