Willie B. "Jack" Brown

Willie B. "Jack" Brown, 86, of Sandusky, departed this life on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Willie was born on July 5, 1934 to the late Sam Brown, Sr. and Hattie (Ash) Brown in Columbus, MS.

Willie received his education at R.E. Hunt High School in Columbus, MS, and also completed several certifications while working at New Departure-Hyatt, a division of General Motors, where he retired in 1993 after 25 years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers, UAW 913 Retirees, and was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he served in the Male Choir, the Brotherhood of Ebenezer, and as an Usher for many years. In his spare time, he was an entrepreneur in real estate, where he amassed a number of houses and apartment units in Sandusky. He also enjoyed his antique cars, hunting, gardening, spending time with family, and most notably, being a helping hand for family and friends.

Willie is survived by his wife, Mary D. (Jones) Brown, whom he married on November 12, 1955; his children, Willette Brown, Rosetta Brown, and Shanita (Danny, Jr.) Aaron, all of Sandusky; eight grandchildren, Kory Brown, Ebony Brown, Darius Brown, Jasmine (nee Aaron) Pope, Marquita Brown, Shane Brown, Jameliah Brown, and Morgan Aaron; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Hattie Smith; sisters-in-law, Velma Brown, Beulah Mae Brown, and Essie Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Wille was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Brown; sister, Alberta Humphries; and six brothers, Roosevelt Brown, William Brown, A.B. Brown, Sam Brown, Jr., John Brown, and Isaac Brown.

Friends may call on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12 PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church. At all times, attendance limitations will be in place, per Ohio COVID guidelines. Pastor Clayton E. Howard will officiate and Elder Eric Brown will deliver the eulogy. Entombment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
