Michael Stephen Brennan Sr.

Michael Stephen Brennan Sr., 59, residing in Sandusky, passed away surrounded by his family Tuesday morning, December 29, 2020 at his home following a lengthy illness.

Michael was born on June 14, 1961 in Sandusky, OH to Russell Edward and Barbara Elaine (Hunter) Brennan Sr.

Michael graduated from Perkins High School in 1980. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army and proudly served his country in Iraq during the Desert Storm/Desert Shield Operation. He was employed at Lithonia Lighting in Vermilion. Michael was a member of the VFW Post 2529 and the American Legion Post 83. He considered himself to be the Cleveland Browns #1 fan. He enjoyed camping, fishing, karaoke and NASCAR racing. Michael will be remembered for his social personality, his jokes and making friends wherever he went.

Michael is survived by his wife, April Brennan; his parents, Russell and Barbara; sons, Michael (Kim Piszczor) Brennan Jr., Kadin Brennan and Patrick Ringle; grandchildren, Hunter and Carley Maltese and Nevaeh and Lillie Ringle; sisters, Tammy (Daniel Zimmerman) Bretz, Jill Brennan, Sheral Nash Sylvester and Michele Creter; brothers, Russell (Kimberly) Brennan Jr. and Douglas (Janet) Brennan and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his son, Shawn Brennan; maternal grandparents, Everett and Mable Hunter and paternal grandparents, Harold and Grace Brennan.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 12:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
