Ronald E. "Ron" Graham

Ronald E. "Ron" Graham, 70, of Monroeville passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in the Stein Hospice Care Center.

He was born April 29, 1951, in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Robert and Therese (Camp) Graham.

Ron attended St. Joseph Elementary School and was a 1969 graduate of Monroeville High School. He attended various colleges earning an accounting degree. Ron served in the U.S. Navy for twenty-two years, obtaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E-7) and serving aboard fast frigates, destroyers, cruisers, flagships, battleships, and carriers. Ron had earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare pin in 1986, Master Training Specialist, Instructor for Outboard/Tacintel "C" school, and Shellback in 1986.
He was a life member of the VFW, DAV, AMVETS, and a member of the American Legion Post 547. Ron valued his travels to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Palau, Yap, Saipan Guam, Turk, Midway, Hawaii, Mexico, Yucatan, Cuba, Azores, Iceland, U.K., France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel Sicily, Norway, and Finland.

He retired in 2015 from Mesa Community College in Mesa, AZ. He was a Naui/Padi dive instructor and worked with the National Park Service on mapping underwater wrecks in Guam and Hawaii. He enjoyed underwater photography, fishing, hunting, and ceramics.

He is survived by his siblings, Jeff (Annette) Graham, Mark (Tamie) Graham, both of Queen Creek, AZ, Mary Wolfe of Monroeville, and Jim (Melissa) Graham of Sandusky, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Graham.

Friends may call from 9:00 am until time of funeral mass at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847. Father Chris Jesudhason will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Road, Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910, Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio 44857, or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
