William M. Hogue, 70, of Monroeville and formerly of Steelville, Missouri passed away Sunday evening, January 29, 2012 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 18, 1941 in Cook Station, Missouri to the union of Everett & Frances (Sullivan) Hogue. Bill completed the first eight years of his education at Cook Station Elementary and graduated from Steelville High School in 1958. He worked a short time at Brown Shoe Company and at Jack's 66 in Steelville, MO., and in 1962, he moved to California where he was employed at General Motors for several years. In 1972, Bill went to work in the Motion Picture Industry and worked for most of the Motion Picture Studios, including Fox, Universal and Warner Brothers, from which he retired in 2007. Bill was an avid fan and collector of NASCAR and shortly before his death, he donated his large NASCAR collection to the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles.

He is survived by two brothers: Wayne Hogue of St. Charles, MO., Gary Hogue of Vermilion, two sisters: Ruth Ann Eaker of Geneseo, Ill., and Linda Buckingham of Monroeville, (whom he lived with due to his illness, since 2011).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett & Frances Hogue, one brother: Gene Hogue and one nephew.
Funeral services and burial will take place in Steelville, Missouri at a later date.
