James B. Williams

James B. Williams, 75, Sandusky, departed this earthly world on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

He was born in Meridian, MS on October 15, 1946.

He was a wonderful man with a heart of gold, who never met a stranger, loved beyond measure, and would go and beyond to help anyone. He will truly be missed for his frequent visits with family and friends.

James started his work force journey at Waldock at the age of 16; until he went on to Ford Motor Company and retired after 34 years.

He was a faithful member and a Deacon of Emmanuel Temple church, where he sang in the Temple Choir.

On Father's Day in 2015; He was awarded the Father/Grandfather of the Year award; what a deserving award; he was truly an amazing father and grandfather.
On September 23rd, 2017; he was presented with the Great Warrior Legacy award. This award speaks volume of him, a Great Warrior.

He leaves to cherish his life; his wife of 53 years. Thomasine (Delph) Williams; sons, Mark (Kim) Williams, Charlotte, N.C., Kenny Williams and Desmond Williams, both of Sandusky; god sons, Mekhi Young, Sandusky, and DeQuaris Pate, Louisville KY; special daughter, Theresa Moore and special daughter-in-law, Michelle Delph both of Sandusky; brothers, Chester (Beth) Williams, Good Year, AZ, Curt Williams, Stanley Chaney, Willie Hampton Jr, all of Sandusky; sisters. Bonnie Hampton, Louisville, KY, JoAnn Hampton and Doreen Hampton both of Oklahoma City, OK, Donna Adkins, Elaine Hampton, Lisa (Eugene) Moore and Harlene Hampton all of Sandusky; 13 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Melna and Willie Hampton Sr, and David and Sarah Dixie; brother, Joe Hampton; son, Antonio Delph; daughter, Antionette Delph; nephew, Brooks Hampton; special Aunt and Uncl,; George and Beatrice "Aunt Lake" Walker.

Homegoing service will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 12 P.M. Noon until 1 P.M. in Emmanuel Temple Church, 128 E. Adams St., Sandusky. Bishop Rufus G.W. Sanders will officiate. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery. Due to Covid protocol, masks will be required.
