Edward J. Andres Jr.

Edward J. Andres Jr., 64, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Saturday morning, January 1, 2022 at Firelands Regional Medical Center following a lenghty illness.

Ed was born on August 25, 1957 in Sandusky, OH to the late Edward J. and Beverly A. (Stookey) Andres.

Ed retired as Post Master from the United States Postal Service in Norwalk in March of 2021 after 40 years of service. He was also a past Post Master in Bellevue. Ed was a member and past member of the Science Lodge #50; Goose and Gridiron Lodge #1717; Sandusky Chapter #72; past Illustrious Master of Sandusky Council #26; Erie Commandery #23; Valley of the Firelands Scottish Rite; past Monarch of Singara Grotto; Zenobia Shrine; Firelands Council 94 Allied Masonic Degrees; Sandusky Radio Experimental League and a Band Parent for the Perkins Band. He enjoyed games of chance and spending time with his family and friends.

Ed is survived by his wife, Susan (Brotzki) Andres, whom he married on May 6, 1978. He is also survived by his children, Laura Bennett, Lisa (Michael Moore) Andres and Joseph (Kelsey) Andres; grandchildren, Ethan and Owen Bennett; sister, Dedre (Jim) Petersen and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Private family services will be held at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Deacon John Bialorucki will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Please wear masks and practice social distancing while in attendance.
