Edward "Eddy" A. Krause, 96, Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in the Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born in Sandusky on September 2, 1925 to the late Fred and Wilhemina (Vogel) Krause.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII.
Eddy will always be fondly remembered for his love of people, children, and animals. He enjoyed spending time at New Life Church as a greeter for over 50 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Delores (Peterson) Krause; a sister, Charlotte Pruitt; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: brothers, Norman Krause and Fred "Bud" Krause; and a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Griggs.
A special appreciation to Stein Hospice for caring for Eddy these past couple of weeks, and also a great appreciation for our neighbors, George "Buddy" and Colena Ruggles, and their daughter Amanda Rayl for helping and caring for Eddy and Delores over the years.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 9 A.M. until time of funeral services at 10 A.M. in New Life Church, 6511 Milan Rd., Sandusky. Rev. John Adams will officiate. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Church.
