Bob Stanley

Bob Stanley, 88, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Friday morning, January 7, 2022 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Bob was born on March 30, 1933 in Sandusky, OH to the late Ellsworth and Matilda (Apel) Stanley.

Bob graduated from Sandusky High School in 1951. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War in the European Theater. Bob was a very patriotic man, and loved his country. He was a life member of the VFW Post 2529. He was a talented musician and photographer, and loved spending time on his computer. Bob had a gentle loving nature and was always willing to help with anything. Bob's greatest joy was his family.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Kim Chavarria of Sandusky and Kristi (Frederico) Yado of Toledo; 8 grandchildren, Angie (Keith), Dino, Nick (Katie), Joshua (Angie), Elyssia (Mike), Nathan (Amber), Melissa and T.J; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and best friend, Jeff Perrin.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his brother Richard, and daughters Tammi and Deann Stanley; sons, Dale, Rob and Jeff Stanley; and son-in-law, Victor Chavarria.

Military honors will be held and conducted at a private family graveside service at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
