Clifford "Red" E. Marshall

Clifford "Red" E. Marshall, 95, residing in Sandusky, passed away Saturday evening, February 5, 2022 at The Commons of Providence following a brief illness.

Red was born on May 13, 1926 in Sandusky, OH to the late Edward and Elsie (Proy) Marshall.

Red worked at Industrial Nut, pre-WWII, where he served in the Navy, and then returned working there until his retirement as a maintenance supervisor. "The Shop" was his passion, even walking across Mills Golf Course in the blizzard of '78 to make sure all was safe. He was a member of the VFW Post 2529 and the American Legion Post 83. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, boating, racing at the Sandusky Speedway with his brother, Ernie and spending time with his family and friends. He was a wonderful father and friend and will be terribly missed.

Red is survived by his daughters, Judi (Gary) Griffith of Sandusky and Janet (Tim) Howard of WA; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Red is preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Ackerman) Marshall in 2000; daughter, Jean Yontz; infant son, James Marshall; granddaughter, Jenny Little; sisters, Florence Rutger and Lillian Benton and brothers, Ernest, Chester and Don Marshall.

Friends may call on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 12:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Deacon Jeffrey Claar will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
