Christopher Dale Harper

Christopher Dale Harper, 63, Sandusky, departed this life on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at his residence, after an extended illness.

Chris was born in Sandusky on December 11, 1958 to the late Bessie M. Harper and graduated from Perkins High School.

He was employed by numerous employers including The Thirsty Pony and The Community Action Center.

Chris enjoyed watching talk shows, wrestling, and sports. His cooking at the Thirsty Pony received wide recognition among customers.

Growing up, Chris loved to play basketball, shooting his famous fade-away bank shot, at the Wee Too Club and New Park. Chris had a laugh was contagious forcing everyone around him to laugh as well.

Chris leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Kristen Harper, step-daughter, Maya Johnson, one sister, Joyce Harper, and two brothers, Mark Harper, and Tim (Pam)
Harper. He also leaves to cherish his cousins who also served as his dedicated and loving caretakers, Rose Harper, Joe-Bob Pickens, Jackie Harper, Shaquala Harper,
and David Harper, nieces, Kutilia Mitchell, Chanel Harper, and Brianna Harper, and nephews, Marquis Harper and Timothy Harper II, special aunts, Mamie Harper
and Buelah Harper, host of other cousins and beloved family members.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie M. Harper, brother, Calvin Harper, nephew, Calvin Harper Jr.; Kristen's mother, Sherri Johnson; and a host of very special aunts and uncles and other beloved relatives.

Friends may call Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 9 A.M. until time of funeral services at 10 A.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
