Jim is survived by his wife, Cindy (Wobser) Scherley, whom he married November 10, 1982, in Norwalk; sons: Jason (Ashley) Scherley of Coshocton, and Chris (Saralyn) Scherley of Bellevue; daughters: Dannielle (Phil) Dombrowski of Vermilion, and Michelle (Steve) Smith of Sylvania; grandchildren: Madison, Haley, Andrew, Katie, Libby, Victor, Sam, Evie, James, C.J., and Rory; brother, Victor Scherley of Republic; sister, Sue (Doug) Long of Monroeville; mother-in-law, Jane Wobser of Bellevue; daughter-in-law, Christina Scherley of Huron; his cat, Gizmo; and multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by three siblings in their infancy, sister-in-law, Pat (Reed) Scherley and father-in-law, Rich Wobser.

Friends will be received on Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 12-3:00pm & 4pm until a funeral service beginning at 6:30pm at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Pl, Bellevue, OH, 44811.

Jim's family requests that those in attendance wear their Ohio State and Monroeville Eagle's apparel.
