Norma Jean Andres

Norma Jean Andres, 88 of Huron, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy battle with dementia.

She was born May 27, 1934 in Sandusky, the daughter of the late Irma (Bremer) and Norman Guckert.

A 1952 Graduate of Sandusky High School, Norma Jean worked as an administrative assistant in the real estate and insurance industries.

Norma Jean was a very active member of St Stephen United Church of Christ. She was a member of the choir, taught Sunday school and volunteered with many of the church's activities. She was a Camp Fire Leader for many years and enjoyed playing cards, baking, gardening, bowling and crafts. Later in life, she enjoyed studying genealogy. Norma Jean also served on the reunion committee for Sandusky High School class of 1952 for several years.

Survivors include her daughters: Kathleen (Robert, Sr.) Riedy of Sandusky and Karen (William) Green of Monroeville; grandchildren: Gregory (Hayley) Kromer, Juliana and Samantha Green. In addition to her parents, Norma Jean was preceded in death by her husband: Eldred C. Andres in 1992, a daughter in infancy, and brother: William E. Guckert.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00am, Friday, December 2, 2022 in St Stephen UCC, 905 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Jerry Fenske will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
