Julius John Pasqualini

Julius John Pasqualini, 82, Sandusky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in the Ohio Veterans Home.

He was born on May 31, 1929 in Bellevue, OH, and moved to Sandusky in 1942.

He was a 1949 graduate of Sandusky High School.

Julius began his career as a mechanic for Sandusky Motors Sales, and retired from Mathews Ford, after 42 years of total service.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving two years in Germany during the Korean Conflict.

Julius spent his free time rebuilding his 1951 Ford, working with wood, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered most as a very kind and gentle man who offered his help to anyone who needed it.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie (Dixon) Pasqualini; daughters, Amy Diaz and Julie Riedy; son, Guy Seibel; beloved grandchildren, Nicole Harris, Zachary Zeller, Shelbi Mackay, Kaleigh Mackay, Connor Mackay, Roman Diaz, Parker Diaz, Kate Seibel, and Grace Seibel; brothers, Nicholas (Eleanor) Pasqualini and Alex (Jeanne) Pasqualini; sister, Mary (Herman) Spencer; and sister-in-law, Marlene Pasqualini.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dante and Teresa (Collecchia) Pasqualini; first wife, Ruth (Leudtke) Pasqualini; brothers, Giovanni Pasqualini and Carl Pasqualini; sister, Angelina Patterson; and a great-granddaughter, Lianna DeQuichi.

Friends may call on Friday, March 16, 2012, from 2-4 & 5-7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 A.M. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Jason Kahle will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, where the Marine Corps Honor Guard will provide military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2500 N.
