THE LIFE OF Dr. Richard Bennett Post

Born 5 July 1936, Clyde, Ohio, and is now singing "O Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way" with the heavenly cherubs on 21 December 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Irving Post and Elinor May Bennett Post. Being a good scholar, he enrolled at Ohio University in 1954. There he met Nancy J. Moving up the ladder he served the Commission in Washington DC, Cincinnati, Chicago, Dayton Ohio, St Louis, Missouri and in 1980 moved back to Washington DC. While living in Vienna, VA he shared his beautiful voice in the Wesley UMC choir and the Vienna Choral Society. He was well known for his carpentry and woodworking skills, building many beautiful pieces of furniture. Growing garden vegetables and tending the fruit trees he loved were his hobby. He became a full-time caretaker for his wife after she suffered several strokes. He enjoyed helping others understand and become a living Christian. He was passionate about sharing the Word of God. In 2012, he earned his Doctor of Divinity which was a long-desired achievement. He was a mentor and confidant, providing wise words of wisdom to his family and friends.
