Frederick L. Meyer

Frederick L. Meyer, 82, of Norwalk, Ohio, went to his heavenly home on January 8, 2023.

He was born on July 20, 1940, in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Roman and Helen (Stieber) Meyer, was raised in Monroeville, and graduated from Norwalk St. Paul High School.

A lifelong St. Paul the Apostle member, Fred was a gentle soul who loved going to church and doing all he could for other people. He served his country as part of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was selfless, and cherished any time spent with his family.

Fred worked for the former Stokeley-Van Camp plant and was a boiler engineer at CertainTeed where he retired in 2013.

He is survived by his son, Rick Meyer; daughters, Lisa (Ed) Leroux and Michele (Todd) Kenne; grandchildren, David and Nicole Leroux, Robert and Danielle Meyer, Brian Braden, Erin Manner, Tyler Kenne and Crystal Rogers; several great grandchildren, and special friends, Cindy Dendinger and Corey Dendinger.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Schaffer) Meyer in 1997; wife, Carol Leroux in 2013; son, Robert Meyer in 1968; daughter, Kathy Fortner in 2013; and stepson, Timothy Leroux in 2014.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk and again on Friday, January 13, 2022, beginning at 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., concluding with a brief family prayer service before the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass, which will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church,�91 E. Main St., Norwalk, OH 44857.��Burial will follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery with military honors.
