Michael (Bubba) D. Morris

It is with great sadness we announce Michael (Bubba) D. Morris - dedicated husband, father, son, brother, Papa, and dear friend to many - passed away peacefully in his home in Norwalk, OH., surrounded by his loving family, the evening of January 7, 2023.

He is predeceased by his father; Thomas E. Morris, and infant brother; Steven Morris.

Survivors include his wife and best friend of 23 years; Beth (Collins) Morris, son; Tyler Gray of Berlin Heights, OH, mother; Wanda L. Morris of Valley Park, MO, two brothers; Thomas of Huron, OH, and Eric (Amy) of Fenton, MO, four grandchildren; Colton & Emily Gray, and Clay & Kaley Coleman, dear friends; Matt (Annette) Myers, Dawn Borzon, Jen Antonelli, and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was born on December 3, 1966, in Amherst, OH. He grew up in Vermilion, OH where he graduated from Vermilion High School in 1985. Soon after he moved to Oakland, CA where he worked for Domino's Pizza, helping them startup new stores. After 7 years in California Mike returned to Ohio where he began working for Kendal at Oberlin where he met his soul mate. He spent the past 22 years of his life working for Whirlpool in Clyde, OH. He was a 20-year member of the 711 Norwalk Eagles (initially 4354 Wakeman Eagles), and a newer member of the Norwalk American Legion Club 41.

Mike spent most weekends golfing with his best friend Matt (always on New Year Day), or sitting around a fire (either in the back yard or camping) with Beth. His grandchildren were his pride & joy, and he cherished his time with them. He could often be found watching his favorite teams (Buckeyes, Browns, and Indians) from his recliner. In general, he was a people person that loved to laugh, pick on those that would give it back, pull pranks, and have a good time. He was kind and known for his great big bear hugs. Mike was a friend to every person he met and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Due to the wonderful care and assistance provided during this difficult time, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Stein Hospice Organization @ https://www.steinhospice.org/donate in memory of Michael D. Morris.

An informal celebration of life will be held at the Norwalk Eagles (151 Cline St., Norwalk, OH) on January 29, 2023 from 1-4 PM. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
