Bertha "Bert" Jensen

Bertha "Bert" Jensen, 62, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at her home in Danville, Indiana surrounded by her loving family.

Bert was born December 3, 1960 in Sandusky, Ohio to Freadhelm and Beulah "Jo" (Lang) Horning.

She graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1979 and married her caring husband Lane on May 24, 1987. She loved hiking, traveling, and boating, having visited 49 U.S. states and over 45 national parks. She found joy in feeding her hummingbirds and cardinals, planting flowers, researching family genealogy, listening to babbling brooks, and watching country sunsets from her front porch. Her greatest joy was loving and caring for her family. She attended Northview Christian Church in Danville, Indiana.

Bertha is survived by her husband, Lane Jensen; her daughter, Cassandra "Cassie" Jensen, and her son, Reece Jensen, all of Danville, Indiana. She is also survived by her mother Beulah "Jo" (Lang) Horning, of Norwalk Ohio; Malinda (Doug) Hainline of Mesa, Arizona; Carlina "Kay" (Timothy) Kropp of Norwalk, Ohio; Theresa Horning of Norwalk, Ohio; Tracy Schulden of Norwalk, Ohio, numerous nieces, nephews, and other caring relatives and her beloved cat Tesla.

She was preceded in death by her father Freadhelm "Fred" Horning and her brother-in-law Jay Chapin.

Friends may call at Walker Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St, Norwalk, Ohio on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 10:00am until her funeral service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Ted Mason presiding. A celebration of life will be held at Northview Christian Church in Danville, Indiana in the spring.
