Dawn J. DeMuth

Dawn J. DeMuth, 64, of Vermilion, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at her home due to complications from her diabetes.

She was born on September 2, 1958, the only daughter of to the late Paul and Natalie (Hunter) DeMuth.

Dawn graduated from Vermilion School and EHOVE Class of 1976. She majored in Horticulture-Resource Conservation. She went on to complete a business Career program and attended OSU-ATI.

Dawn worked for the Huron Soil and Water Conservation District as an Education Coordinator and later interned with the Lorain County Soil and Water District, USDA Farm Services Agency, Corso's Flower and Garden for 13 years in the flower shop, Commons of Providence and Providence Care Center, and the State Bureau of Vocational Education Rehabilitation Services in Sandusky as a Consumer Advocate.

She served on the Farm Bureau Erie Co. Board as Secretary and Treasurer. She also was involved with the Republican Women's Organization as well as FFA and 4-H as a teenager. Dawn served on the Erie Co. Board of Health and Vermilion Twp. Zoning Board. She was an avid poll worker in Erie County for 21 years.

She is survived by her two brothers, Paul M DeMuth Jr. and Michael E. DeMuth both of Vermilion, OH and numerous relatives.

She lived most of her life on their family farm in Vermilion Twp. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, floral arranging, candle making, card making and was an avid cook, baker and enjoyed canning.

Graveside services will take place on Friday January 27, 2023 at 1 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery Mason Rd. Vermilion.
