William Henry "Baboy" Towns

William Henry "Baboy" Towns, 79, residing in Sandusky, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Providence Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio.

William was born on November 26, 1943 in Atlanta, GA to the late Hubert and Francis (Wyatt) Towns. He attended Thomas Oliver Elementary and Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He married Rosa N. (Brewster) on November 26, 1967. They moved to Toledo, Ohio in January 1970. William worked at Supreme Bumper and L & L Polishing and Plating.

William and Rosa moved to Sandusky, Ohio in 1994 to shorten his commute to work at Ford Motor Company. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 30 years until retirement. William joined Agape Love Ministries under Bishop Clifton Jones where he also maintained the lawn for 12 years.

He loved golf, golf and more golf. He was an avid golfer. "The Best Chipper in the World," inducted into the Mills Creek Hall of Fame on June 12, 2022, made a Hole-in-One at Sleepy Hollow on May 12, 1994, was a Senior and Super Seniors winner at Mills Creek Golf Course in Sandusky, and a five-time Champion at the Toledo Men's Golf Club. He also loved cars - buying, working on and repairing them. William was always "dressed to the nines".

William is survived by his devoted wife, Rosa (Brewster) Towns; daughters, Felicia (Dimekko) Sidney and Bayonca (Terrance) Williams; sons, Gregory L. and Raifus L. (Laurie) Towns; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; special cousin, Minnie Holenshed; and twin brother (LOL), Lane Trousdale; and numerous awesome nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his son, William Andre Towns in 2005; sisters, Ruth Hunter and Betty Fellows; and brother, Robert Towns.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky with Bishop Clifton Jones presiding.
