Betty L. Keegan

Betty L. Keegan, 83, formerly of Fremont/Clyde, more recently of Columbus, died on Thursday, May 11 2023 at Dublin Methodist Hospital.

Betty was born in Lecher, Kentucky on January 28, 1940 to the now deceased Dixie (Tyree) and Ray Smith.

She was a wonderful wife to Gary E. Keegan, whom she married on April 20,1968. He preceded her on April 7, 1999. She was the exemplary mother to Gary A. and Michelle, along with being a loving grandmother.

Mrs. Keegan had been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde. She loved to shop and go out to eat at "nice" restaurants. However, ANYTHING having to do with family was her absolute favorite activity.

Her survivors include children, Gary A. (Maria) Keegan of Mays Landing, New Jersey and Michelle (Michael) Poe of Columbus. Three grandchildren, Kennedy, KC, and Logan, also six step grandchildren, Josh, Elana, Jason, Sara, Teresa and Jessica, and six step great grandchildren survive. Three siblings, Davd Smith of Missouri, Georgia Smith of Tennessee and Darlene Smith of Ohio survive as well.

Betty was preceded in death by one sister, Rita Marsh.

Beginning the celebration of Betty's life, will be on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 10:30 am at the funeral home, the time will continue with her funeral. Pastor Charles Butcher will officiate. The burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
