Ronald E. Welch, age 69, of Vickery, died Tuesday evening, April 17, 2012, at Bellevue Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 15, 1942, in Sandusky, and attended Margaretta High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Cuban Crisis and was a 33 year employee of Ford Motor Co., retiring in 2000.
He is survived by his daughter Angela Parlow, Sandusky; son Brian (Mollie) Welch, Sandusky; friend Mary Clonch; several grandchildren; two sisters Barb (Wayne) Rohrbaugh, Castalia and Paula Welch, Sandusky; brother James (Sandra) Welch; and several nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Eldon and Phyllis (Greene) Welch; and sister Judy.
Friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday, April 20, 2012, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Graveside services will be on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Rushaw Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
