Mary Margaret  Smith

Mary Margaret Smith, 85, of Monroeville, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 in the Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk following a brief illness.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1927 in Norwalk and lived all her life in Monroeville.

She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother of ten children. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroeville, the Alter Rosary Society, and a volunteer for many church and social events. She loved to play cards with her family and friends along with her friends at the Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Kathie Smith of Monroeville, Jim and Diane Smith, Dick and Susan Smith both of Norwalk, Tom and Leann Smith of Bellevue, John and Lynn Smith of Norwalk and Timothy E. Smith of Monroeville; daughters and sons-in law, Jan and Joe Kudro of Norwalk, Kathy Sheller of Kenly N.C., Sharon and Dave Barman of Norwalk and Patti and Doug Anderson of Monroeville; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and two on the way; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Joanne Stallkamp and sister Helen Brown of Norwalk; many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eldon E. Smith in 2004; her parents, Edward and Olivia (Obringer) Stallkamp; a son-in-law Steve Sheller in 2011, twin great grandsons Anderson and Brady Zoldesy in 2007, a brother and sister-in Law , Edward and Dorothy Stallkamp, Sisters and brothers-in-law Alice and Robert Zeller, Mildred and Ralph Kluding and Betty and Walter Kluding, and infant sister Catherine Stallkamp; Brother-in-law Edward Brown.

Friends may call from 4-8 pm Sunday, April 22, 2012 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.
