Sandra "Sandi" Sue (Faber) Mischler

Sandra "Sandi" Sue (Faber) Mischler, was born October 5, 1939 in Sandusky, OH to the late Erwin and Rita (Feuerstein) Faber. She wanted to live to 100, but God had different plans and needed her in heaven sooner, so she danced her way into heaven at age 83. She was residing in Lynnwood, WA, where she passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

Sandi graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1957. She went on to complete her cosmetology degree, and owned and operated "Faberette Salon" in Sandusky for many years. Sandi was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sandusky and is a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She married Donald H. Mischler in May of 1965 and they had two daughters, Michele Marie (Mischler) Adams and Erica (Ann) Mischler Ryan, who currently reside in Seattle, WA.

Sandi raised her daughters in Sandusky, Ohio where she was very active in their lives as their Campfire Girls leader, taking them on camping trips/adventures and shuttling them to their many practices: gymnastics, track, basketball, swimming, tennis, you name it, they tried it. After the girls graduated high school and went on to college and her husband passed, Sandi decided that she needed a new and bigger adventure, so she decided to become a long-haul truck driver known as the "Road Rambler." She loved to share stories about the places she had visited and all the people she had met along the way. Lord knows she could talk to anyone, anywhere, at anytime.

Some would call Sandi feisty, spunky or even mischievous, and all would have been great descriptors, but she was also known to be kind-hearted, and a lover of the arts, nature and animals. She loved to travel and go on adventures, and even visited all 50 of the United States. In her spare time, she enjoyed conversations over coffee and cigarettes (until the doctor made her quit smoking, then it was just coffee), painting, drawing, camping, road trips, family vacations, and all of her many collections. She was especially fond of butterflies.

Sandi is survived by her daughters, Michele (Joe) Adams and Erica (Ed) Ryan, and grandson, Cole Adams all of Seattle, WA; sister, Carol (Dave) Michaux of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives, that she has passed on her dancing skills to.

In addition to her parents, Sandi is preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Mischler, and her brother, Don Faber.

Friends may call on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky with Fr. Zach Brown presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
