Clyde D. Walton, 89, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at after a lengthy illness.
Clyde was born on July 20, 1934 in Sandusky, OH to the late Carl and Gertrude (Hyme) Walton.
Clyde had worked for the Lorain Ford Plant, Scott Paper Co. and Fanny Farmer. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and was a very talented woodworker. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with family.
Clyde is survived by his children, John (Molly) Walton of Castalia, Tamara (Robert P.) Rieger of Sandusky, OH and Timothy Walton of Sandusky, OH, brother, Jack Walton of Castalia, OH, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, with one on the way and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Clyde is preceded in death by his wife, Donna J Walton, brothers, Robert, Donald, Alfred and Kenneth Walton, sister-in-laws Mary, Audrey, Helen, Beverly, and Sandra Walton, grandson, Timothy C. Walton, granddaughter Hailie Leal.
Friends may call on Monday, September 11th, 2023, from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12 at 10:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, with Pastor Don Green presiding. Entombment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
