Gary J. Ayers, 59, of Sandusky, passed away Wed., Sep. 13, 2023 at Concord Care of Sandusky after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sep. 3, 1964 in Sandusky.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a huge Steelers fan and loved playing video games, going on walks, word puzzles, board games, cards, muscle cars - especially Mustangs -, and writing poetry (he is a published writer!). He loved spending time with his family and friends the most. He will be dearly missed.
Gary is survived by his children, Joey Ayers and Sarah Ayers; brother, Clyde Ayers, Jr.; sister, Deanna Hamilton; step-sisters, Kelly AYers and Tina (Bob) Miester; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; special niece, Ashley Ayers; and many other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Clyde, Sr. and Coella (Smith) Ayers, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian; brother, Brian; and nephew, Matthew.
Friends may call Mon., Sep. 18 from 2-3 P.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will begin at 3 P.M. with Rev. Ken Hiser.
