Mary Alice Boos

Mary Alice Boos, 81, of Sandusky, passed away September 12, 2023.

She was born on May 20, 1942 in Huron, Ohio to Albert and Margaret Schenk.

On August 5, 1966, She married Carl A. Boos.

Mary was born to be a mother. She loved what she did and truly enjoyed providing a happy household. She always put others before herself and that could be seen in everything she did. No matter how full her plate was, how packed her schedule was, she would always find a way to make time for family.

Mary was a proud Mom and a true Midwest Woman. She was raised on a farm in Huron, Ohio by two loving and hard-working parents. She never forgot the sacrifices her family made to help her achieve her life-long goals, and always beamed with pride when speaking of them. In her early years she enjoyed being with friends, spending time at the family farm where she was raised and above all, being together as a family. Mary touched so many lives. She gave so much showered them with warmth and affection, those connections will never be forgotten. Mary will truly be missed by many.

She is survived by her sons John Schenk, Aaron (Megan) Boos; her stepsons Kyle Boos, Kevin Boos; Sister, Kathryn "Kate" Wagner, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Robert Schenk, Albert "Bung" Schenk, John "Chuck" Schenk; Sisters, Ruth Likes and Margaret "Dolly" Ommert.

Friends may call for a visitation on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 1:00 pm until time of memorial services at 2:00 pm in the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory 1607 E. Perkins Avenue Sandusky, Ohio. With Pastor John Adams presiding.
