Raymond H. Christman

Raymond H. Christman, 88, of Monroeville passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at The Willows in Bellevue.

He was born May 13, 1935, in North Monroeville, Ohio and was a 1953 graduate of Monroeville High School.

He was employed at the Thakar Aluminum Corporation in Sandusky prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville where he had served as an usher. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Monroeville High School Athletic Booster Club, where he has been a past president. Raymond liked staying active. His hobbies included supporting all Cleveland sports teams, he loved horses and didn't miss watching a major horse race, but his most cherished moments were the times spent attending his children and grandchildren's activities.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, LaDonna J. (Boehler) Christman; five children, Timothy R. (Robin) Christman of Oregon, Ohio, Kim A. Christman of Monroeville, James D. (Robin) Christman of Norwalk, Cynthia (Glenn) Wrap of Raleigh, North Carolina; Steven M. (Melissa) Christman of Sandusky; twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one sister, Susan (Randy) Wolf of Amherst; one sister-in-law, Marsha Christman of Bellevue; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond F. and Helen (Hadsell) Christman; and two brothers, James Christman and Jere Christman.

Friends may call from 9:00 am until time of the funeral mass at 10:30 am on Friday, November 17, 2023, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Father Chris Jesudhason will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund, 79 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847.
