Diane M. (Colahan) Henderson, 73, of Norwalk and formerly of Monroeville, died early Friday morning, July 13, 2012 in the Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk following a brief illness.
She was born October 5, 1938 in Norwalk to the late Herschel & Doris (Fox) Colahan. Diane was a 1956 graduate of Monroeville High School and a 1964 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She taught grade school and was the Elementary Librarian for 30 years at Monroeville Public Schools, retiring in 1988. Upon retirement, she worked at the Monroeville Public Library for many years. Diane was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville, State Teachers Association, Huron County Retired Teachers, Bellevue VFW Auxiliary, and the Monroeville American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by three brothers: David (Susie) Colahan of Columbus, OH., Phil (Rae) Colahan of Norwalk, and Brian (Dolores) Colahan of Milan, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald E. Henderson in 2005, her parents, and one brother: Mark Colahan in 1997.
Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 PM Sunday, July 15, 012 at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 16, 2012 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. The Rev. William Pifher will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
