Nadine W. (Ohlemacher) Mack

Nadine W. (Ohlemacher) Mack, 87, of Sandusky and Kelleys Island, Ohio died and was reunited with her husband, John T. Mack on Sunday evening, December 9, 2012 in the Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.

She was born April 15, 1925 in Sandusky, Ohio and was a 1942 graduated of Sandusky High School. Nadine attended The University of Toledo and graduated from the Toledo Hospital in 1945. During WW II, she served as a U.S. Army nurse. Nadine was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Kelleys Island, member and past president of the Kelleys Island Historical Society, Board of Election volunteer, Red Hat Society, United German Ladies Sewing Circle, the Sunshine Society, Toledo Hospital Alumni Assocation, Kelleys Island Landowners Association, past member of the Sandusky Yacht Club, Kelleys Island Board of Zoning Appeals and the Audubon Society of Kelleys Island.

She is survived by her children: Jeni (Michael) Hammond of Sandusky, John T. (Kathy) Mack III, of Bristol, TN., Todd S. (Cindy) Mack of Orion, MI., eleven grandchildren: Claudia, Rachel (Kevin), Jessica, Ashley, Lindsay, John (Corrine) IV, Kelly (Keegan), Jill, Kim (Dave), Alex, and Shannon, four great grandchildren: Lillian, Elizabeth, Claire, and Leo, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Mack in 2001, her parents: Wilbert & Nadine (Winters) Ohlemacher, one sister: Betty Prince, and one grandson: Jeremy Hammond.

At the request of the deceased, cremation has taken place. Visitation and Memorial services will be announced later this month by the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel.

The family of Nadine O. Mack, 87, of Sandusky & Kelleys Island, who died on December 9, 2012 will receive friends on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012 in the Parkvue Place Chapel, 3800 Boardwalk Blvd., Sandusky. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kelleys Island Historical Society, 222 Division Street, Kelleys Island, Ohio 43438. Condolences may be shared with the family at
